How It Works

How is XP Earned? XP in the world of the Ascendants is earned by Events & Battles, and there are a few mechanics that help normalize/adjust where progression flows in the ecosystem.

Event Conditions Players have all-in bet. net, east to stuff to do in game to get XP. Example: Action: Spend 250 Gold Reward: Gain 100 XP

Battles You kill things to earn most of your XP. How much Experience you need depends on: Monster Family (Stronger monsters have more XP) Number of enemies defeated Your Player Level Formula Total XP = (XP per Monster × Number of Enemies Defeated) × Player Level You can upgrade Weapons in the game, though if you are defeated during a session, all equipped Weapons will be set to their default XP.

Game Over Screen & XP Carryover

When the player have completed a run, they will keep XP earned from a match at 1/10 of its original value and bring the rest back to their base. Example: XP earned during match: 100 Carried over after death: 10 This guarantees a little set to advancement between rounds and balance.

New System: Dual XP

To better track player progression, we introduce two XP types:

  1. Ascension XP (Battle XP) → Used to level up your character.

  2. XP → Used across the entire ecosystem (PvP, Boss Fights, Crafting, Leaderboards, etc.).

This dual system ensures both immediate character growth and long-term ecosystem progression.
